  • What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?

Yoga and prayer! Hip opening stretches and using my ujjayi breath with contractions. As I was ready to push, I asked God to give me strength.

How quickly it happened and that I was able to be aware of everything as it was happening. 2 hours and 39 minutes from the first contraction to delivery!

  • Giving birth is like a marathon, you need to train for it. Body, mind and soul!
  • What pain relief strategies worked best?

Being in the water birthing tub.

  • What position did you end up delivering in?

I started out on all fours and delivered his head. I had to roll over because my midwife had to assist with the shoulder. He was a big baby.

    Relief! Bliss!

  • What advice can you give to other mamas who want to go natural?
