The last five minutes when the baby entered the birth canal to come out! It was painful but anyone can pull through it!

What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?
Read midwifery books. Had no fear. Thought to myself it can't be so bad if gazillions of women went through it! No one would have babies again if it couldn't be handled! Also baths and showers helped tremendously with the pain. Breathing through the pain and having my mom and hubby rub my back during contractions.
-
What surprised you about your birth?
I felt like I was in another dimension. It's a very spiritual and psychedelic experience especially when you let nature take its course. I can't believe how fast my two days of labor went and how soon I was holding the angel babe.

You can so do it! There is nothing to be afraid of. So many have got through it. God wouldn't give us what we can't handle. Women are so strong <3
-
What pain relief strategies worked best?
Water therapy, baths and showers. Laying into a birthing ball. Having someone rub your back and push on your lower back when you go through a contraction. Walk around. Get out in nature. Pray and breathe!
-
What position did you end up delivering in?
Sitting up off my back
-
How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?
Like a wonderful dream come true. He opened my heart.

What advice can you give to other mamas who want to go natural?
You can so do it! There is nothing to be afraid of. So many have got through it. It truly is the best thing for you and the child. The most painful part is when the baby is ready to come out and it won't last long at all if you go natural! God wouldn't give us what we can't handle. Women are so strong <3
