What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?
I expressed my fears to my midwife. She did all she could to reassure me all would be well and I'd do great. She recommended I watch good birth videos, which is how I found Mama Natural. I did a lot of mental preparation, telling myself all the good truths about natural birth.

What surprised you about your birth?
How good I felt afterwards.

Just do it! You totally can. Our biggest challenge is ourselves, so do the mental work! Mental is about 90% and physical is only about 10%. If you put in the hard mental work, you can be successful and have that natural birth you've about!

What pain relief strategies worked best?
Sitting in the warm birth pool.
-
What position did you end up delivering in?
I had a water birth and i delivered in a modified squat (on knees leaning over the edge of the pool and resting my head on a chair).

How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?
It was such a relief to hold her and see her for the first time.
