When did you realize you were really in labor?
Well, contractions started at 2am on a Monday. They were regular and strong, but then slowed down later in the morning. So, I was in labor all day Monday but it wasn't until my water broke at 10pm that I truly felt like things were "happening."

What was the most challenging thing about going natural?
Nothing is challenging. It's pain with a purpose. Going natural let's my body and my baby work together for birth and I actually see that as making things easier :)

What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?
Look at lots of videos and photos of birth on insta, it's inspiring!

What surprised you about your birth?
Being in the water was so relaxing and allowed me to get into a position that would not have been comfortable outside the tub!

Have confidence that your body and your baby know what to do. Your job is to stay relaxed, breathe, and TRUST that you can do it!

What pain relief strategies worked best?
Moving around, being in the birthing tub, finding a position that was comfortable.

On my knees leaning over the edge of the tub

Awesome! Empowering! Relaxing!

Have confidence that your body and your baby know what to do. Your job is to stay relaxed, breathe, and TRUST that you can do it!
