When did you realize you were really in labor?
I woke up and got my daughter around 7 AM. I think I finally accepted it was happening around 8:30 - 9 AM.
-
What was the most challenging thing about going natural?
After already having had my oldest at home I think the hardest part this time was knowing what to expect, and choose to put myself through it again. But ultimately when it came time to have my son I knew I could do it and had way more confidence in myself the second time around!

Affirmations! I had them up in a prominent spot and I saw them every day for weeks. Then my doulas were able to repeat them to me while in labor and it was so so helpful and got me thru to the end!

How big my son was! My daughter was only 6lbs 10oz and he was 8lbs 14oz!

What pain relief strategies worked best?
Water and hip sways! My doulas did counter pressure in between contractions as well.

What position did you end up delivering in?
Squatting/leaning on the side of the birth tub.

How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?
Amazing! Just how I pictured it! It was the moment I was waiting for my whole pregnancy!
