When did you realize you were really in labor?
Few days before I had my big day, I have been having contractions once for 2 days, then contractions in a day every 5 hours apart, 2 hour apart, 1 hour apart, 30 minutes apart, 15, 10, then went down to 6 minutes apart, contractions were really moving quick, that's the time my husband called maternity ward in the hospital near us.

What was the most challenging thing about going natural?
Of going through the process all in all, considering the fact that I haven't had any birthing lessons, lactation advise, breathing techniques, but still I managed to bring out the most precious angel in the world inside my womb.

What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?
Taking care of myself as I go on through that more than 9 months of carrying her inside my womb. To know proper diet, proper discipline on what to eat & not to eat, give proper exercise.
-
What surprised you about your birth?
Everything! The support I had from my husband, my husband's family, my sister - in - law who traveled more than an hour in a flash from the hospital I was in, of being calm even the electricity in the delivery went off while I was in labour, and just believing in yourself that you can do it & having faith that God is watching over me. Which all I did is close my eyes & pray & miracle happened.
-
Just believe in yourself, believe in God, trust it all to Him & He will do the rest. Always be calm, pray for inner peace, find happiness & focus & concentrating on it during labour, have the love & support from loved ones, and of course don't forget to breathe.
-
What pain relief strategies worked best?
I can't basically say the word they used, but it's something to do about the feeling when half of my body went numb, half meaning from waist until legs, the numbness to not feel the contractions.
-
What position did you end up delivering in?
It's the normal position or how you guys call it, I can't describe properly.
-
How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?
I was in full tears of joy! It was the best feeling in the world!

What advice can you give to other mamas who want to go natural?
