When did you realize you were really in labor?
I had been having labor contractions or Braxton Hicks for three weeks before I actually went into labor. The morning I went into labor my contractions we're very severe. More painful and also only my lower back and tummy area. More like period cramps rather then tightness. They were also consistent like 3-5 min apart.

What was the most challenging thing about going natural?
The pain. I knew I wanted to go natural but I hadn't had a baby in 7 years and forgot all the aches and pains that go along with it.

What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?
Practice breathing and having my husband understand the pain I will be in so he can help ease the pain.
-
What surprised you about your birth?
How quickly it went. I had been in labor for three weeks but stayed dilated to three every time I went to the hospital. Even walking, sex, foods, nothing helped. But once I was in active labor it went by so fast. This baby was actually my fastest birth she came within 4 hours of active labor.

It's a great thing to ride it out natural. Once the baby is out your up and walking and comfortable and able to eat, you forget all the pain your in once your baby is in your arms.

It was so relieving to me that she was finally out and looking at me. I was full of emotions.
