When did you realize you were really in labor?
I remember waking up and feeling this trickling and Everytime I walked around or Sat down more trickling and so texted my midwife which then she said my water had broke.

What was the most challenging thing about going natural?
I have 6 children and this was my FIRST at home and natural birth so the unexpected of what it was going to be like was challenging.

What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?
I just kept telling myself I can do this and not letting the fear take control of me plus hanging scriptures up in my room.

What surprised you about your birth?
I was surprised that it actually wasn't as bad as I had been told it was and was very fast once my contractions had started.

Always keep telling yourself you can do this, don't let fear take control of you, breathe through every contraction and let your mind think of holding your sweet little one.

What pain relief strategies worked best?
I bounced and rocked on a birthing ball during contractions and my biggest would be my husband constantly praying over me and my friends reading the scriptures I hung in my room.

What position did you end up delivering in?
I was reclined back in the tub as it was the most comfortable position during my pushing.

How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?
It felt AMAZING and something I would do all over again in a heartbeat! The feeling you get from holding your baby after a natural birth is exhilarating!

What advice can you give to other mamas who want to go natural?
Always keep telling yourself you can do this, don't let fear take control of you, breathe through every contraction and let your mind think of holding your sweet little one.
