When did you realize you were really in labor?
About an hour after I started having pain at 7am they were so strong I knew it was definitely labour.

What was the most challenging thing about going natural?
The pain. When babies head came out, they realized his cord was wrapped tightly around his neck they couldn't undo it so I had to push him out without the contractions to help, it was so much more painful.

What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?
Resting. Lots of resting, you never realize how much energy it takes to birth a baby.

What surprised you about your birth?
How quick it was 4 hours in labour and 10minutes pushing

Every birth is a journey, they are all different. Keep focused on holding that beautiful baby at the end of it. Trust that your body knows what it's doing. And make sure you have a great support system with you, my husband was wonderful helping me through the pain.

What pain relief strategies worked best?
Acupressure helped. I went into my own world while in labour to get through the pain. I was focused on the fact that every contractions was a step closer to holding my baby. I did alot of rocking on my hands and knees

What position did you end up delivering in?
Hands and knees

How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?
Beautiful. He wasn't breathing when he was first born so to hold him was a relief.
