When did you realize you were really in labor?
I went grocery shopping to get some last minute snacks for my kiddos and birth team and was having multiple contractions while shopping that made me pause and take a breather. I was pretty sure at that point baby would be coming that night!

What was the most challenging thing about going natural?
I feel it's just as much a mental challenge as it is a physical and keeping my head in the game is crucial for me!

What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?
Lots of prayer, regular chiropractic adjustments, exercise and having faith!

What surprised you about your birth?
How fast it went! This is my third baby. My first was 50+ hours at a birthing center turned cesarean due to baby being distressed. My second was a 7 hour VBAC Home birth and this baby was just 3 hours, also a VBAC Home birth!

Lots of prayer, having my amazing hubby at my side, deep breathing and the birth tub! I also had back labor, so constant pressure on my back was a necessity!

What advice can you give to other mamas who want to go natural?
Trust your body! Remember it comes in waves, if you can handle those couple minutes in a contraction then you can do it! Embrace the contractions, they're working for you, not against you! Just focus on the moment!
