When did you realize you were really in labor?
About 2/3 hours after my 40 week checkup, my contractions had not stopped.

What was the most challenging thing about going natural?
I had the urge to push before I was fully dilated and I had to keep from pushing with breathing and moaning.

What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?
Haha, probably just go through it the first time. But also, listened to tons of birth stories on the birth hour podcast.

What surprised you about your birth?
My sons shoulders got stuck and it became a really crazy experience very suddenly.

What pain relief strategies worked best?
The tub was #1, the shower was my #2!

What position did you end up delivering in?
Squatting in a birth stool...

How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?
It was really awesome because they took him away when he was born since he was stuck for a few minutes, head out.

What advice can you give to other mamas who want to go natural?
Be adamant, patient, deep breaths, and bath!
