Obviously, the pain, but even more than that, the incredible pressure was unbelievable. I knew that even though meds would take the pain away, nothing could relieve the pressure of baby pushing on my cervix! So I knew I didn't even need the meds..

What pain relief strategies worked best?
Breathing through the contractions, concentrating on taking long deep breaths that were focused toward my belly.

What position did you end up delivering in?
I was in a few different positions throughout labor. Exercise ball at home, turned on my side with a pillow in between my legs and that actually made my water break in 5 mins! But I delivered in the standard position, on my back holding my legs up.

How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?
Unbelievable. I couldn't believe what I had just done.

You can do it. Your body was built for this. Feeling the whole process will help you through it.
