When did you realize you were really in labor?
I realized I was in labor after about 2 contractions! They started off fierce!

The most challenging thing about going natural is knowing it was going to get more intense before it got better.

What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?
Well, this was my 7th baby, so I'd have to say, the experience I've previously had!

What surprised you about your birth?
It lasted 4 hours from the time my water broke till he was in my arms!

What pain relief strategies worked best?
Honestly, sitting down with my 3 year old! He just wanted to snuggle mommy for a few minutes and that was so comforting to me.

What position did you end up delivering in?
I ended up in a semi sitting position.

How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?
All I said for probably the first 30 seconds was "Thank you Jesus" so needless to say, it was amazing to finally hold him on the outside.

What advice can you give to other mamas who want to go natural?
Do. It. Is it easy? No. Does it hurt? Yes. Is it worth it? A million times yes.
