When did you realize you were really in labor?
I had a doctor's appointment on September 13 but that morning I was having contractions when I went to see my doctor. He checked me and I was only 2 cm.. My due date was September 27th but I had him September 14th. I had a feeling he was coming early. The contractions were so hard. My doctor told me I was not ready. I went home an 20 mins later the pain started. My appointment was at 10:30 AM by the time I went to the hospital at 3:00 pm I was at 5 cm..

What was the most challenging thing about going natural?
It was so painful but luckily I had my oldest daughter Lillianna and my husband Manuel to help me breath and cope with the pain. Even though this was my 6th baby the pain was so painful. With their help I was a little at ease.

What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?
I had my other 4 youngest kids draw me pictures to help me not focus on the pain so much. I also made me some goals on how I wanted my labor to go. That help me to ask questions if they wanted to do certain things to me. That made me feel more comfortable during my labor.

What surprised you about your birth?
Even though it was my 6th baby still took me awhile to give birth. My baby boy Gabriel Sandoval came out so healthy and looked great. Had to push for awhile but he came out. I was surprised it took me awhile to have him but every single pregnancy I had was different. My baby was worth the wait.
