What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?
Exercise: I was very hardworking during my pregnancy. I took 10 mins walk everyday. my kegel exercise was done everyday. I squat every chance I could.
Date fruits: I read how good date fruit helps in labor so a month to delivery I take five dates a day. I was in labor for two and half hours as a first timer so I think it worked
Prayer: I was steadfast in my prayer.

What surprised you about your birth?
It was pretty much surprising how fast my labor process was. I was in and out of delivery ward just like that. The whole process was a very painful one... oh all the dirty junks like vomiting and others was not funny. I pretty much throw up after every contraction. I was made to understand that every woman go through a unique birthing experience.

What pain relief strategies worked best?
Mind over matter. My birth plan included all natural process no pain relief, no epidural so every time contractions come I try to imagine myself in my happy place. it worked like half of the time the rest of the time I just gave up and screamed. lol

What position did you end up delivering in?
On my back.
