When did you realize you were really in labor?
Middle of the night when I woke up to pee. Started with mild contractions which I thought was BH. Then suddenly got stronger within the next few minutes.
-
What was the most challenging thing about going natural?
Uncertainties and interventions. My first born was induced and vacuum assisted. So I was worried about the second time too.

What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?
Essential oils from Young Living.

What surprised you about your birth?
It all happened too fast from the getting ready to go to the hospital until the baby is born. All within 4 hours and 3 pushes.

You can do it!! I know that everyone is different and every birth is unique, but if you're not in the high risk category, I say try it!
-
What pain relief strategies worked best?
Take a deep breath, count 1-10, when contractions come. Stand up and move during early labor helps too.

What position did you end up delivering in?
Like how people do crunches, with both hands lifting my legs up.
-
How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?
Amazing. We did skin to skin right after, which I did not get to do with my first born.

You can do it!! I know that everyone is different and every birth is unique, but if you're not in the high risk category, I say try it!
