When did you realize you were really in labor?
Honestly, I don't think I believed it was "real," until my water broke. Which was 7 hours into labor, 30 minutes before birth. I was definitely a first time mom. lol

What was the most challenging thing about going natural?
Probably just not knowing what to expect. Every natural story is different so it was a challenge not knowing what mine would be but being open to it unfolding exactly how it should. Once I accepted that and trusted it would be my perfect story, I was at peace.

What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?
Education- birth course, read lots of books, daily affirmations.

What surprised you about your birth?
It went so fast! I didn't realize what was happening in hind sight. I missed a pic of my "last" baby bump. I didn't document it as well as I wished but also cant complain about it going fast :)

How did the Mama Natural Birth Class help you in your childbirth?
I was grateful we took the course. I think it helped both my husband and I feel confident in choosing a natural birth, especially for our first child. Sometimes when you'd tell people you're planning to deliver at home, you wouldn't be met with the most support. But when watching the birth class it reassured us and gave us confidence in our decision. The class offered us great knowledge, as well as understanding and being okay with everyone's story being different. The class gave us enough knowledge of what to expect, while at the same time sharing so many stories showing us there's truly no way to know what to expect. The online course was PERFECT for us. We could take it at our own pace and not have to worry about arranging our schedules to make it work. Totally worth the investment!
