When did you realize you were really in labor?
September 11th I woke up around 2:30 with menstrual like cramps. I began to time them and realized they had a rhythm. I took a bath and they got farther apart, but once I began to talk to my baby and tell her it was okay for her to be born, they intensified.

What was the most challenging thing about going natural?
The most challenging thing was being afraid of tearing. I tore badly with my first (he was induced) and the pain was excruciating. Once my doula helped me breathe through the waves, my body began to push baby down and I knew I couldn't stop it. Once I let go of my fear, baby was born quickly and I only had one superficial tear that didn't require stitches.

What pain relief strategies worked best?
The Miles Circuit was helpful for back labor. Hypnobirthing soundtracks were a life saver. My doula pushing in certain spots on my back was wonderful as well.
