When did you realize you were really in labor?
I woke up that morning and had a few contractions. I knew that this was the day. After making and drinking a strong red raspberry leaf tea, everything stopped for a few hours. That afternoon, contractions started back up and I knew it was the real thing.

What was the most challenging thing about going natural?
The pain. Although, since it was number 5, I had learned ways to cope with the pain.

What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?
Drinking pregnancy tea faithfully (red raspberry, alfalfa, nettles, peppermint).

What surprised you about your birth?
His size! #4 was 6lbs 14oz, but #5 was 10lbs!

What pain relief strategies worked best?
Breathing and relaxing through each contraction. Also praying between contractions.

What position did you end up delivering in?
Sitting on the toilet! A few pushes on the bed was getting me nowhere. About 3 minutes on the toilet and he was out.

How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?
Joyful. Thankful that it was over! Love at first sight.
