When did you realize you were really in labor?
I started my day feeling like I may be getting my period. It wasn't until about 3pm after I had some reflexology I started to think this could be it, I was getting some uncomfortable squeezes. Different then all the practice my body had been giving for 4-6 weeks.

What was the most challenging thing about going natural?
The waiting game! Waiting for spontaneous labor. I was so body sore this time around.

What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?
Created a mental, emotional, and physical safe place. I regularly practiced hypnobirthing, gathered my gear for the home birth, paid bills, cleared my plate of obligations, and savored my family as if was before our new addition!

What surprised you about your birth?
How big my baby was! A boy 10.6 22" long!!

What pain relief strategies worked best?
Hypnobirthing practices kept me centered. I also love Young Living essential oil Valor! I applied it to my Low back.

What position did you end up delivering in?
On the birthing stool.

How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?
Wonderful and exhausting!!!

You are made for this work. Yes it hard at times, but it's a small moment in time. Do your research, choose your support team and go for it!
