Chiropractic care and watching birth videos.

What surprised you about your birth?
How your body really does everything for you. I had had 3 hospital births with epidurals and pitocin. This time, I went into labor naturally and my body took control. Nobody messed with me and my baby was here in just a few hours! And I was present for all of it. No grogginess from an epidural for days, I was actually coherent and my bonding experience was so much better this time!

It really helped me to know what to expect. Reading it is one thing, but hearing it from other women was really helpful. I knew during labor that what I was feeling was normal and that helped keep me calm.

Birth pool 100% movement was the only thing that helped the pain and it's so much easier to move in the water!

I can't even describe it! To feel my little baby against me after all that hard work was one of the most precious moments of my life.

What did you name your baby, and why?
Joseph-André after the two saints I prayed to when he was breech. He turned at 38 weeks and I was able to have a home birth!
