When did you realize you were really in labor?
It had been about 30 hours after a membrane sweep. I was sitting at my couch watching a movie when all of a sudden I feel water running down my legs! My water had broke on its own for the first time! I screamed, "Oh my God, my water broke"!!!!!
I arrived to the hospital an hour later at about 10:45pm and was prepped for a labor and delivery room right away.
The nurse performed an internal checkup and I was at 4cm dilated. She asked me if I needed anything for labor. I requested one of those labor inflatables, but by the time she arrived with two for me to choose from, I no longer had the interest in them and didn't care whether or not the blue one was better than the yellow. That is when I realized I was in labor!
Two hours, and three pushes later, I welcomed to this world a handsome little boy!
