When did you realize you were really in labor?

I woke up at 7am with minor cramping. As I got out of bed and noticed water running down my legs. The flow was nonstop, then I realized my water is leaking.

What was the most challenging thing about going natural?

I did not have a natural birth due to medical issues.

What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?

Relaxed my mind with positive self talk to reduce my anxiety about having another C-Section.

What surprised you about your birth?

It was relaxing to hear the doctors chatting about exactly what they are doing behind the curtains.

Wanting to go natural is an awesome goal however don't beat yourself up if you don't end up giving birth naturally. However you give birth just know that we as women are amazing.

What pain relief strategies worked best?

Epidural worked best for me.

What position did you end up delivering in?

Laying on my back.

How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?

I was overwhelmed with so much emotions. This pregnancy was very difficult for me emotionally. It was the best feeling to know that it was over and to have my baby girl finally in my arms. I felt like I put her through so much these 9 months. We even went through a car accident together where we thought we would loose her. I was grateful to get through this journey.

What advice can you give to other mamas who want to go natural?

Wanting to go natural is an awesome goal however don't beat yourself up if you don't end up giving birth naturally. However you give birth just know that we as women are amazing.
