When did you realize you were really in labor?

It was about 8pm on 1/31/18.
What was the most challenging thing about going natural?

I was afraid of how painful it was going to be, but I wanted to experience this moment as natural as possible.

What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?

I walked a lot during my pregnancy.
What surprised you about your birth?

When I got to the hospital, it was about 11 pm and they checked me and confirmed that i was indeed in active labor. I was at a 5-6 cm open. Suddenly another nurse comes in and also decides to check me. Turns out my daughter is breech and I needed an emergency C-section. ?
I would recommend it!! I really wanted to go natural and I DEFINITELY would have if my baby had not been breech when I went into labor.
What pain relief strategies worked best?

I was mainly focused on my breathing. That helped a lot with pain.
What position did you end up delivering in?

I delivered in an emergency C Section.
How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?

It was the best feeling of my life!
What advice can you give to other mamas who want to go natural?

I would recommend it!! I really wanted to go natural and I DEFINITELY would have if my baby had not been breech when I went into labor.
