  1. A friend had given me the idea of the name and I fell in love with it instantly. The whole time I was pregnant with my sweet baby, things were extremely stressful at home and at work but I could not shake naming the baby, if they were a girl, Luciana. We waited until birth to find out what we were having. I did a little research on the name and discovered it translates to “light”. She is the light my family needed to see the joy her beautiful soul would bring into our world.

  2. It’s just beautiful and so many nicknames!

  3. Beautiful name! We named our baby girl Luciana Maria Josephina Hernandez, I absolutely love her the name. She is named after both her grandmothers Lucy and Ana, her first middle name is for her great-aunt, on my side, and her great-grandmother on her daddy’s side, both were named Maria. The name Maria is also for the mother of God the Virgin Mary. Her second middle is is for her father whose middle name is Joseph, her great-grandfather on her daddy’s side, and for St. Joseph, Jesus’s father.
We also like the combination of the names because Luciana means light and Jesus is the light of the world and she is the light of our world so we liked the quadruple meaning. She is a beautiful, happy, quiet, and a good sleeper. Our little Luciana has a perfect name for a perfect child. If you see this years from now Luciana, always know that Mama and Papa love very much and always will!

  4. We wanted a name that was easy to say and pronounce, was familiar enough to must people yet being unique, had a cute meaning but wasn’t top 10 level popular. We love how Luciana flows, has cute nicknames, and how it honors two family members (an Annie and a Luz)

  5. We chose this name because it means “light”. Her middle name is Zoe which means “life”. Lucianas paternal grandmother chose her middle name. One month to the day, almost hour, Lucianas grandmother passed away from terminal cancer that was only diagnosed 3 months prior, our little light was born. Luciana is the light of our lives. She has brought so much light to us in such a dark time. Her “abuelita” always wanted a little girl and that little girl arrived with such light and life on December 6, 2018. Luciana Zoe = light of life.

    • This is so cute! ?

  6. We chose the name Luciana because it means “light” in Italian and we love the biblical symbolism of light. We call our daughter Lulu for short. I love her name, but it can be hard for people to pronounce. That’s why I like the option of her nickname for ease. Her full name is Luciana Rose.
