My husband father passed away back in August 2023. He appeared in my dream and was holding a baby saying her name. This is when I told my husband this is her name. We absolutely love her first and middle name together. Reply Livia Feb 8 at 5:27 pm My name is Livia and my sis’ name is Ella. 🙂 Reply Dolores Oct 26 at 5:30 am Family name! Reply Lelia Sep 30 at 3:50 am My mother’s name is Livia , I love it! It’s a latin name and is not as widespread as Olivia… Reply Christie Jun 8 at 1:50 pm When I was 8 months pregnant. We had picked a different name than Livia. Less than a month before my due date, my husband got a call back after routine bloodwork saying that his numbers were very low and he needed to see a hematologist/oncologist the very next day. The next day was spent at the specialist’s office getting more bloodwork, ct scan, bone biopsy, scheduling more biopsies. We nervously feared the worst. Leukemia, lymphoma, diseases that can strip life away in a matter of weeks to months. His condition seemed grave, as his blood levels continued to plummet. Meanwhile, my friend Becky was dying of terminal cancer. I began to hear the name Livia gently spoken in my ear. Livia means “life”. We chose the name Livia to speak LIFE into the terrifying situations in our life, and to remind us that we have LIFE in Jesus no matter what the situation. Then when Livia was 5 days old, Vic, my husband, was admitted to the ER after receiving word that his blood numbers were critically low and he could spontaneously start bleeding, and was at such high risk for infection that he couldn’t survive any illness. And there was Livia….life giver. She is the smiliest baby I have ever met. Then when Livia was 8 days old, my friend Becky, passed away. There was Livia, bringing life into such a dark time, reminding us of the eternal life we are given through Christ. Lastly, when Livia was 1 month old, we travelled to Michigan for Becky’s hometown funeral. In the midst of sorrow, death, Livia brought life with her smiles, and just the beauty of new life, as mourners took turns gazing at her and holding her. It was beautiful contradiction, but in fact, it wasn’t really a contradiction at all. As Becky entered into a beautiful life w her eternal Father, Livia entered this life, with her perfect smile, perfect little hands and feet. Skip ahead almost 7 months, and we are so grateful that Vic’s condition has improved after LOTS of medication, IVIG, and the generous grace of God. It turns out that his condition was likely an autoimmune response to a viral infection that could have been plaguing him for a very long time. And although we still mourn Becky, we know that as we recently celebrated her first birthday in heaven, that she is twirling in the midst of her earthly father and her Heavenly Father.
