Share Your Thoughts 4 Comments Samantha Feb 20 at 2:03 am 2018 came with an ubundance of death’s in my life, (7 to be exact) but the one that hit the hardest was the loss of my friend Dylan Mauldan. He was one of those guys that would always say,”I’m not meant to live for a “long time”; I’m meant to have a “fun time”, so let’s party!”; said with his big smile and loving laugh. Deep down he truly meant it… for some reason I also knew it would be too. His death from liver failure at the age of just 30 years old came as no shock to many, but was a hard blow to all whom knew him. For he was known as “the life of the party” in so many of our lives and no party would ever be the same without him. His Wife, Jessica, was pregnant when he dead with his first child. Heartbreakingly sad from the loss, stress and drepression of losing him – she went into early labor at just 20 weeks to their baby girl. I like to say it this way, “Her little body and heart were just too fragile; she missed her Daddy and her Father too much, so she went to be with both of them in Heaven – to watch over her Mommy with them till they could all one day be united.” It was devastating to know that piece of him was gone too and when I became pregnant there was no doubt that my child would carry on his name… no question, Amazingly our daughter Dylan and “life of the party” was born on 4/20. I can’t help but laugh internally and think “Touche my old friend,… Touche” Reply Nicole Oct 19 at 10:55 pm Dylan is neutral Reply brodie Oct 21 at 3:12 pm well i have a boyfriend named dylan and i really want our first girl to be called after him as i have a boys name myself… well it’s more unisex but i’ve never met anyone with my name (brodie) in the 23 years i’ve been around only a couple boys spelt brody so i’d wanna possibly name my first son brodie too idk just a thought Reply Jennifer Apr 23 at 2:51 pm We wanted a gender neutral name that wasn’t overly trendy.
