Share Your Thoughts 2 Comments Jaclyn Sep 11 at 8:39 am My boyfriend and I wanted to name our child something that starts with a C and have the middle name start with a J (his name is Cameron, mine is Jaclyn, which is where the C and J come from). His middle name is Corey, so we settled on the spelling Cori since we found out we were having a girl. My late grandmother’s middle name was Joann, so we shortened it to Jo. So her name is Cori Jo. ? I love the name Cori for a girl (or a boy!) because it’s not a common, overly used name. It’s unique but not an “out there” type of unique if that makes sense. Reply Cori May 2 at 12:35 pm I absolutely agree. I’ve had the for 24 years now and have only ever come across 2 other women named Cory but only one with the same spelling as mine. And honestly growing up Cori just isn’t as common as you would think. I get Tons of compliments on my name. I think It’s a great choice but I am a little biased. My middle name is Michelle though.
