Latin Share Your Thoughts 3 Comments Madeline Jul 25 at 9:15 pm My husband and I are Christians and wanted a biblical name for our daughter. Cassia means cinnamon and is the name of one of Job’s daughters, described as among the most beautiful women of the land. The word is also used in Psalm 45 pointing to the glory of Christ’s Kingdom. I love the nickname Cassie too! Reply Quoya Jun 20 at 10:43 am I chose the name Cassia because it was not very common and sounded very feminine. I didn’t like the name Cassie but liked Casey. So [Casey-uh] needed proper spelling and Cassia seemed like a nice fit. It’ll get mispronounced frequently though. Obviously there’s different ways you can pronounce it based on the spelling though!
