  1. It’s interesting the name is a popular female name. Since in Scotland, it’s place of origin it would be very uncommon for a female to be named Blair.

  2. My husband’s best friend past away very suddenly and unexpectedly shortly after we first found that we were expecting. He loved nature- was an Eagle Scout and worked for our state parks. Blair has always been a name that I like, but it also is of Scottish origin (so was our friend) and means “Meadow” or “Field”. I knew I wanted a nature name that honored my husband’s wonderful, selfless best friend.
