  1. Hi! I was teased as a kid going to school with a name like Angelina. My classes were all Becky’s, Megan’s, Rachel’s. You get the gist. It wasn’t until the super popularity of Angelina Jolie that my classmates thought my name was cool. I like it now but hated being an outcast in elementary school in 80’s MN. My full name is Angelina Valentine because I was born on Valentines Day. My parents always called me Angel, never Angie or Angela. I would ask them, “Angel Valentine? How much drugs did they give you in the hospital?”. LOL They also told me that everyone celebrates my birthday by taking their loves ones out and giving them presents, and it’s called Valentines Day because my middle name is Valentine. I believed that for far too long. LOL!!

  3. Long before I was even with my husband, I dreamed of the name Angelina. I always loved the name. I come from a Spanish background so it fit in perfectly. Then, when I got pregnant I called him/her my Angel baby. When I found out the gender I was ecstatic to get to name her Angelina- which also means messenger of God.
What I like about the name is that it’s easy to pronounce in English and Spanish, it means “messenger of God”, babies are truly angels so it fits perfectly.
Angelina is a beautiful blessing from above, and although motherhood has been a tough journey for me, I wouldn’t change it for the world. I love my baby girl so much and love watching her grow.
