  1. My loving grandma’s name was Amada, in spanish means “loved”, she was a very important woman in my life but the name Amada didn?t convince me at all. The second choice it was Violeta, in spanish is the color violet, with my husband we liked that one because of a famous and importand artist in the story of our country “Violeta Parra”. We really love her art, music and story.
One day the name Amanda came to my mind just because my mom writing by watsap adviced me to have my grandma’s name on my child, but she wrote by mistake “AMANDA” instead of “Amada” in the message, so now the name got stuck in my mind. Coming back and talking about artists, we really like music and there is another chilean artist that we like very much, who has a song called “Te recuerdo Amanda”, it’s a beautiful song!!!, in that moment I realized that I prefered Amanda than Violeta, but now everithing had sense to me about the name I was looking for my baby.

  2. We chose the name Amanda because Amanda means “gift of God”. And she was truly that. A sweet surprise that we really weren’t expecting! Mandie for short ?
