My mom’s mom, an incredible woman, was named Ada Bess, and my dad’s mom, who I never got to meet, was Madelene (pronounced Madeline). I wanted to honor these two women, so I chose Adalin. It also means “noble one” in Hebrew. Her middle name, Natividad, was my husband’s grandmother’s name, and means Nativity in Spanish, so we get to honor his side as well. I firmly believe in declaring what you want for your child in their name, and her name is definitely a strong one!
