  1. Scott is the name I was giving at birth and have answered to my hole 45 years now. I have never felt weak due to my name. Actually quite the opposite matter of fact I have always felt pretty healthy which I have never been the one to run from a fight being that I’m 5′ 11″ 215 lbs. Boxed a majority of my earlier years. And served 12.5 yes. In the Georgia Department of corrections. If anyone reading this is familiar with the penal system, you already know that it is fight or die in there.

  2. I never responded to “Scotty” either except for my mother. She’s the only one who gets away with calling me “Scotty.”

  3. I’m a Scott and dam proud of it!

  4. I have always been proud of my name. I’m an extrovert with a very confident (not arrogant) personality. I consider myself a leader, and have always been the “strong” one in the family; one who brings others together in times of worry or crisis.

  5. The name sucks. It’s a weak name., But I’m a strong man and demand everyone pronounces my name correctly. I will not respond to Scotty, Scottish or Scotty boy.

    • I disagree regarding “Scott” being a weak name. I do, however, demand that no one can call me “Scotty” or any form such as. I like the name, and would like to see a resurgence.

    • My name is Scott, and my last name is Christie so you can feel how I could feel about that but one thing I do know is that I am very strong person and I’ve been called every name in the book like scooter Scotty Scotty, Whitey, everything you can think of and it doesn’t bother me one little bit because I know they call me little nicknames that they just came up with and they mean no harm not to mention I’m a strong person you can’t hardly hurt me Sticks and stones
