I go by our family middle name, John. My son also goes by John or more specifically Jack, diminutive of John. (Which is his formal middle name) We our proud carry this names history in our family. And I know ow my son knows how much meaning their is to this name, and he knows he must name his first born boy to carry our ancestors legacy. He his my child and child heir for the family, so it is really important to the whole family. My morther and family all call him Gaylord as I, so it can make for some awkward moments!
