It works both ways, we hope he has a lifetime of good fortune and we feel so fortunate to have him. We also have an older son named Max and well, if you need to call both boys at one time we realized calling for Max and Dex would make it easier on two tired parents of young energetic boys! Reply Brooke May 13 at 12:17 pm We picked the name Dexter because my husband and I are true 90s kids (born in ’93 and ’94) and a show we watched as children in the early 2000s was a show called Dexter’s Labratory on cartoon network! It’s about a super smart little red head boy,our boy came out a redhead a pinch smaller than the other babies due to being a preemie born at 36 weeks 2 days and spending a week in the NICU. Dexter is a very special baby, has lots of attitude and personality! ? Reply Jaime Aug 17 at 8:18 pm My grandfather went by Dexter. It was his middle name and his mother’s maiden name. I don’t like that there was a show by the same name about a serial killer, but I figure it is only a small number of people that would connect the name with that. My grandfather was the patriarch of Christianity in my family and I am thankful for God’s Grace in that.
