It took me a while to warm up to the name Darius. Dad wanted a Persian name (idk why) and favored the name Cyras, but I dont like it and eventually he suggested Darius. We had like 4 names that we kind of agreed on to choose when hes born (our daughter had like 7 and I liked them all a lot better) I liked Darius because it actually had a meaning, and a nice meaning at that. I pretty much decided on the name about a month before he was born. Dad still was hoping for Cyrus at time of birth but not dared to debate or converse about it with me after the birth, when I said Darius is the name he shut his mouth. I think it is a great name for our child! Like many of my favorite things, I just needed a little time to warm up to it.
