We made a list of names we liked best and it was in there. Then my husband came to me and said, “Hey I’m not trying to sway you but… we know Damien is the main character of the Omen (I love horror), but it’s also the name of batman’s son (one of the comic book series time lines), so we’ll get a little horror, a little nerd, and it’s not super common.” So I said fine. I’m sold.

Damien is extremely bright, witty and helpful. his eyes shine like the stars in the night sky. he is very particular who he shows his love to. if you havent been in his life everyday, he wont even so much as shake your hand. others think of him as rude but he really is just introverted. he always asks for help when he needs it and wont even think twice about helping someone else.

I’ve always liked this name and knew I wanted to use it on my second born son. My first born son was an Adrien. So it matched well.

Well first I’m a sucker for 80s horror and dark themed movies so this name is from the movie ‘The Omen’
And second its the name of a saint turned martyr for the sciences when religion was taking over the world

The name Damien is beautiful. And when I heard it on this movie. I said ” If I have a boy first I’m gonna name him “Damien “. And my sister was with me when I had my son and she gave him the middle name Christopher.

i think its a solid, unique name in the sense that its not unusual sounding, but not a lot of people have it.

We named our son for St. Damien of Molokai. He was a missionary priest in Hawaii who served within the leprosy colony. He eventually contracted leprosy and died with the people, but we really admire his compassion and courage. We wanted to give our son, Damien, a model in life, and encourage him to show that same love and compassion in whatever God calls him to do.
