Share Your Thoughts 2 Comments Desi May 18 at 8:21 am Clay was a strong, unique and easy to say name for our handsome little boy! Reply Jenny Jun 1 at 4:42 pm Clay Garfield is our 4th, We wanted something that was cool, but not crazy. We also wanted something that went with our other kids’ names, Crew Saint, Kenji Ray, and Wade Anthony. My husband picked out Kenji’s and Wade’s names. He also suggested Clayton, Although we both agreed that would sound out of place in our name Line up (all of the kids have 4 or 5 letter names) but the name Clay stuck with me. We thought his name was Archie up to the day he was born. He had red hair (All of our other kids had brown or blond) and we didn’t want people to think of Archie Comics. The name Clay popped back into my head and His dad thought it was still really cool. My Dad joked that he was like Garfield when he was falling asleep (Half closed eyes and red hair), and we thought it was a fun middle name.
