We like that it is strong single syllable name with a subtle tie to nature (Bryn means “hill” in Welsh). The one thing I’d note for those considering the name Bryn for a boy, is that it has become quite popular as a girls name and most people with assume girl if reading the name before meeting the child. Not that big a deal in my opinion, I’m a female named Jesse, so I’ve dealt with this my whole life, but since I had always considered Bryn more masculine, I didn’t think about this much before hand.
