Share Your Thoughts 1 Comment Justine Aug 16 at 7:54 am My baby’s name means son of encouragement. But the Hebrew is son of prophet. The role of prophets in the Christian church is to build up believers with encouragement, advice, and comfort. I think that’s a pretty great purpose for my son to have. I see in the Bible that names given come true in humans lives so the meaning of the name was really important to me. And also that it wouldn’t be a common name as my name isn’t common and that’s been nice for people to know who is being spoken about in conversation or when my name is called. I got concerned some people might nickname him Barney and make fun of him because my brother was made fun of for still liking Barney the TV show in kindergarten. But I actually found great comfort in that TV show as a kid. The expression of I love you and you love me and we are a happy family with a great big hug and a kiss from me to you. So if it happens it happens 🙂 Reply Share your thoughts on the name Barnaby Cancel ReplyYour email address will not be published.
