  1. I love the meaning, strong, fortified and protected. Between two hills, as his father and I are both strong and tall and the baby reats between us.
It also sounds soft yet strong

  2. Love the Woodie Guthrie reference! We’re a musical family and felt Arlo wasn’t too popular but made so much sense for us

  3. Our daughter and son-in-law just named their baby boy Arlo and we love it! We knew
of Arlo Guthrie but hadn’t heard the name otherwise. I like Arlo because it is strong yet soft, masculine yet gentle, easy to pronounce and easy to spell. And, as with most baby names, after a few months you can’t picture the baby with any other name. If you’re looking for something unique but not over the top, I think Arlo is a great choice. I know it’s more popular in Europe than in the states right now, but that may change as more people become aware of it.

  4. I love how simple it is yet it fits so refectory as a baby and adult

  5. Love the name Arlo. Such a strong name

  6. We love this strong name. Classic and unique without being over-the-top. Also, our fave food truck is named Arlo’s ?

  7. Arlo is his fathers middle name. It’s a family name from his fathers side and he is the 5th generation to have the name Arlo.
I really like the name, it’s short and sweet, but also has a manly vibe to it. I just love the name overall, it’s unique and you don’t meet too many Arlos.

  8. My husband actually approached me with the name. He has heard the name of a folk singer named Arlo Guthrie and told me it has always stayed with him as a cool and unique name. The moment I heard it, I knew it was perfect for our little boy, and shortly after – we made it official.

I like that it is not a name you hear often, nor is also not a name that is so outlandish.

  9. I love older and somewhat obscure names. Arlo really resounded with my soul at the beginning of this pregnancy and I knew that’s what he would be!

  10. He is named after my husband’s grandfather who was an inspiration to him. I like that it’s a little different name that you don’t hear too often.

  11. We wanted a unique name, and found it to be a little more difficult to come up with something unique for a boy! My little sister discovered it and texted me in the middle of the night one night suggesting it and we loved it!

  12. Arlo gives me a vintage feeling and a unique British vibe without being too uncommon. It is both cute and strong.

  13. For our 5th we needed another boy name in the plant theme. This is in the Spanish orgins and is a barberry tree. Our other kids names are lily, ivy, daisy and boy Rowan a tree as well. We almost chose oak but we did not feel it fit our baby and all of the other plant names were 2 syllables.
