What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?
Enrolling in the Mama Natural childbirth class, participating in the Facebook group, hiring a doula, and generally getting mentally prepared for labor and delivery.

What surprised you about your birth?
How fast it happened! I labored at home as long as possible (until my water broke) and when we arrived at the hospital which was about 25 minutes away, I was checked and already at 10cm! I labored and pushed at the hospital for 2.5 hours and baby was born!

How did the Mama Natural Birth Class help you in your childbirth?
Before taking the class I didn't know anything about childbirth really. Just the usual intimidating information about how painful and awful giving birth is. After learning the material and shifting my expectations, I truly believed in my body's ability to give birth because it's a natural process. I prepared mentally as best as possible and felt equipped to face various challenges associated with birth and related decision making. I loved my pregnancy and birth experience, and I'm certain Mama Natural played a major role. I am very grateful!
