When my water finally broke and my contractions started about an hour after!

What was the most challenging thing about going natural?
Nothing I would say was “challenging” so to say about the birth. The challenging part was gearing up for labour knowing it was going to be natural and intense!

How quick it was- again! How seamless it all seemed to go. It was so peaceful and quick but never rushed or chaotic. It was just a picture perfect pregnancy and labor and delivery!

Absolutely do it. Fear nothing. Believe in your body, and your baby. We women are strong! Educate yourself and surround yourself with other support and women who believe in the magic of birth. Support and knowledge goes a long, long way!

What pain relief strategies worked best?
Squeezing my husbands hand and deeeeeeep breathing and low moans.

What position did you end up delivering in?
On all fours in the water with my bum just off the bottom of the tub.

How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?
Euphoric! There are no words. This was our third baby and I delivered her myself and pulled her up from the water onto my chest with no one else in the way. It was empowering and surreal and magical and just pure perfection.
