When did you realize you were really in labor?
After opening Christmas gifts on Christmas Day! My contractions had been happening on and off since super early that morning, but they were getting more consistent.

Explaining to others why I am, and getting family in board.

What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?
Yoga - it really helped me with concentration and breathing, being really in tune with my body!
Prayer and being informed and positive - I had a very supportive husband who took care of me and encouraged me. Prayer for and joyful and peaceful birth. Being informed helped ME understand why I was making the decision to go all natural and helped me be confident.

What surprised you about your birth?
How very peaceful my birth was! I had no worries going into it, since I informed myself and had a positive and supportive husband by my side. I had no fears - never once did I worry whether or not I could deliver, or worried about something going wrong. God's presence provided the peace and confidence I needed!

Hands and knees on the bed

How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?
Nothing was happening around me. My mind was completely focused on Jovi, my emotions were full of complete and utter peace.

How did the Mama Natural Birth Class help you in your childbirth?
It helped remind me and inform me of the process of birth, and constantly reminded me that I CAN DO THIS! It also encouraged my husband even more to be involved, and helped him know gown.
