When did you realize you were really in labor?
I had a bloody show in the morning, so I knew it would come soon. It wasn’t until 2:30 AM that night when I woke up to really intense contractions. Somehow I missed early labor so I knew it was it when I felt like I was dying!

Staying active and eating healthy through my pregnancy!

What surprised you about your birth?
I was surprised at how FAST it went. The baby was born four hours after I woke up. I was already in active labor and was in denial even though the contractions were three minutes apart, I kept saying I need to stay home because the first part is supposed to take 12 hours! Luckily we got to the hospital with 15 minutes to spare! I credit eating those 6 dates a day

What advice can you give to other mamas who want to go natural?
My advice is to believe in yourself, trust your body, and know that the pain will pass. Also be open to things not going as planned. My baby was breech for a moment and I was mortified by the potential of having a c-section, which I learned to accept after dwelling one it for some time.
