When did you realize you were really in labor?
I was due October 1st, I had a planned C-Section 9/25/2017 due to previous C-sections. I ended up having to him 9/6/2017 due to placenta previa, where my placenta was completely over my cervix. Yes it was deadly for me or the baby so we had to get him out early (4 weeks early). He was in the NICU for 15 days.

What was the most challenging thing about going natural?
I never was able to experience going natural and that is okay, I needed to have a safe and healthy baby and delivery.

What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?
Preparing myself for everything, talked to other moms who had a deliver early, discussing with doctors and my support team about the possibilities of little man going to the NICU

What surprised you about your birth?
Since this is my third pregnancy, I thought I knew it all LOL, The surprised for me was the emotional support I received from everyone at the hospital especially the NICU nurses.

Listen to your body even though I was never able to go natural, you body is your key to help you.

What pain relief strategies worked best?
I was completely numb but trust me I had a lot of pain during pregnancy with my hip going out and the everyday pain of carrying baby.

How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?
When I first held my son in the NICU it was great.

What advice can you give to other mamas who want to go natural?
Listen to your body even though I was never able to go natural, you body is your key to help you.
