When did you realize you were really in labor?
After a month of prodromal labor and being further along than in any of my other pregnancies, I was certain I would be pregnant forever! Finally, contractions stuck around as I tried to sleep, previously they would just pitter out while I slept. I had one contraction in the birth ball while still at home that made me shoot straight up. I woke up my hubby and birth team we headed to the birth center!

What was the most challenging thing about going natural?
The hardest part about going natural was that my baby was posterior so pushing was tough and extra painful!

The most surprising things about my birth was that it was fast compared to my previous births!! From the time we got to the birth center to holding my baby was a little less than 2.5hrs.

What pain relief strategies worked best?
Focusing on breathing and counter pressure on my low back and double hip squeeze.

What position did you end up delivering in?
I started in the birth stool, then side lying and then on my back but not flat- more upright- is where I ended up!

Amazing!!!!! So worth the prodromal labor, delivering posterior and being wildly uncomfortable!
