  • When did you realize you were really in labor?

    I realized I was really in labor when my contractions became unbearable.

    The most challenging thing about going natural is dealing with the pain and just staying in the zone and just reminding myself to stay strong.

    The most helpful thing I did to prepare for my birth was prepare mentally and print affirmations to remind myself of the all the positives.

  • What surprised you about your birth?

    What surprised me about my birth was that my water broke 10 days before I had my baby.

  • It takes a lot of strength and focus but this is what women were made for and we can all do it if we want it. It is one of the most rewarding feelings ever.
  • What pain relief strategies worked best?

    To not tense up, and to try and keep your body as relaxed as possible. Walking through the contractions also helped me a lot.

  • What position did you end up delivering in?

    I labored on my hands and knees and ended up delivering siting on my bottom in the pool.

  • How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?

    It was the most amazing thing ever. I couldn't believe I actually did it. I didn't get that immediate skin to skin with my first birth because I had a c-section so this was an amazing experience.

  • What advice can you give to other mamas who want to go natural?

    It takes a lot of strength and focus but this is what women were made for and we can all do it if we want it. It is one of the most rewarding feelings ever.
