When did you realize you were really in labor?
I was 41 weeks so my OBGYN decided to induce me. I arrived at the hospital at 8:30am and got induced by 9am soooooo many hrs went by and I was on pitocin and I wasn't dilating that much only 3cm but my contractions were getting closer by 90 sec apart after 9pm the pain was getting to meat it was unbearable so I decided to get a epidural that helped a lot. This was my 5th time giving birth so I kept telling myself I can do this, and my fiancee was very positive, calm, and helpful.

What was the most challenging thing about going natural?
I honestly thought I was going natural because of myou previous births I started pushing after 11pm and our baby was not trying to come out I didn't understand why, so the Dr was doing EVERYTHING he could to get our baby out natural but it wasn't happening next thing I know our baby's heart rate went down and my oxygen levels went down the Dr. said I had to have a emergency c-section. I started crying and got scared because I did not want to go through that but I guess it had to be done. I did not like that experience at all and was very down and out about getting a c section but we had a handsome baby boy born on April 22, 2012 @ 12:22 am 20 1/2 inches long we named him Forever Isaac Friday!!!!

What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?
Me and my fiancee planned for him to deliver our son, we also wanted to leave the cord and the placenta attached until it was done pulsating. We had nice plans but it didn't work out that way ? so we just went with the flow and had a healthy baby boy.

What surprised you about your birth?
I was very surprised, sad, hurt, and a little angry because I had to have a c section but sometimes it's not what we want it's what God and the baby has planned.

What pain relief strategies worked best?
Breathing in and out of my nose and staying calm I also laid on my side and had my fiancee massage my lower back hard

How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?
It was the best feeling to see how handsome and healthy he came out. Just a sweet baby

What advice can you give to other mamas who want to go natural?
Stay positive and calm, breath in an out of your nose you can do it!
